Our second night in Pigeon Forge we visited the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show. I loved the layout in the dinner/show area, no one had to strain to see the show as the tables were laid out in tiers, making it very easy for everyone to see.
We started the show with a fantastic meal of Fried Chicken, Pulled BBQ Pork, Corn on the Cob, Coleslaw, this really great Creamy Vegetable soup, hot, fresh rolls, Mashed Potatoes, and Sweet Tea. It was followed by this amazing chocolate dessert. Very filling!
We had a fantastic waiter who did a great job taking care of us! When the show started, it immediately brought on the laughter! We sat back with a really good cup of after dinner coffee and enjoyed the show.
I've always had a bit of a fascination with the Hatfield and McCoy feud. Years ago I was at an auction and purchased the notary seal that had belonged to William Hatfield of Virginia who was one of the family members from that great feud. He was a notary in the 20's.
Anyway, I found the show to be funny and the entertainers did an excellent job keeping the audience engaged.
The 'fights' between the two families in this production were hilarious. I loved the clogging competition, they have some amazingly talented cloggers!
I also got a kick out of the Sheriff, poor guy, having to try and keep the peace between these two families. lol
The feud of the century...all started over mistakenly stealin' a pig! lol.. I loved every minute of it!
Check out this short video, it will get you laughing and has one of my favorite parts of the show on it! Watch for the Sheriff crawling around on all fours and the Mayor trying to roast a marshmallow! LOL!
If you're heading over to Pigeon Forge, I highly recommend seeing this show! You get an incredibly good meal, and top notch entertainment! You can even purchase your tickets online, in advance, to save a little time!
